Traditional Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Tui Na Massage


Traditional Chinese Acupuncture works to help maintain your body's equilibrium. It has been used in China and other far eastern countries for many years as a mainstream health care. It is now used in conjunction with western medicine in these countries and is becoming more and more popular in the UK, with more people finding out what it can do for them each day. 

Treatments last for about 45 minutes and are aimed at the root cause of your condition as well as your main symptoms, this resolves your main symptoms while also enhancing your feeling of well being.


£50 First appointment this includes consultation and treatment (1hour - 1hour 30mins)

£40 follow up appointments (45mins - 1hour)

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture are now commonly used to help with a wide range of medical issues, including pain and musculoskeletal conditions, digestive disorders, skin problems, allergies, stress and infertility. Patients' report positive results achieved by Chinese medicine in treating chronic conditions as well as minor ailments. In addition an increasing number of scientific studies show positive  effects of treatment. 

Herbal treatment can be combined with acupuncture or a stand alone treatment.

Herbal Formula costs will vary depending on a number of factors, such as the herbs prescribed, dose and suppliers. On average an months supply of herbs would cost £30, Matt will be able to provide you with an accurate cost for your individual prescription. 

Tui Na Massage

 Tui na is a massage therapy, using the same diagnosis principles as acupuncture. Different massage techniques are used, on a clothed, sheet covered body, or with essential oils to help the body back into balance and provide health and harmony.

Costs: £40 per 1/2 hour treatment

Chinese cupping

Often used in conjunction with Acupuncture, small glass cups are applied to the body using a little bit of heat to create suction, which helps to relieve muscular aches, pains and tension. 

Can also be used without acupuncture. Without acupuncture moving cupping can be very useful in the relief of muscular tension and is a great alternative to massage. 

Cupping alone costs: £35 per treatment, use along side other treatments is included in the price of those treatments.

The Clinic

Treatments are provided in my clinic in central Harrogate. A separate entrance and waiting area, together with a private treatment room, makes for a safe space for all patients. All Covid19 guidance on minimising infection risk is complied with.
